About This Level:

The Little League Alberta Summer Baseball Program offers an exciting extension of the season for Minor, Major, Junior and Senior players.  Running from the end of June through the August long weekend, this program is designed to provide players the opportunity to continue developing their skills and enjoying baseball through the summer months.

Teams will be required to travel within Alberta (an outside chance to Saskatchewan).  All travel cost are the responsibility of each player and their family.  Participation in travel is a mandatory aspect of Summer Baseball program.  Locations will depend on tournament host sites, which will be formed once associations form teams.

If more than one team is formed within an age group, these teams will be place in different divisions (AAA,AA,A) based on skill level.

Weekly practices will be schedule based on each team's needs, goals and diamond availability.

Eligibility:

Any player may try out for any Summer ball team for which they are eligible to play based on their age.  Depending on the number of players trying out, not all players may make a team.  The number of teams formed will also be based on the number of volunteer coaches we have.

You must have played regular season in Little League and participated in a MINIMUM of 8 games.

Schedule:

This years summer season will run from June 20st to August 4th.  Games will be played on the following weekends:

Preliminary Seeding Weekends (Teams must play a minimum of 2 of the 3 weekends)

June 19-21 Weekend

June 26-28 Weekend

July 3-5 Weekend

Regular Summer Ball Weekends (Teams must play a minimum of 2 of the 3 weekends)

July 10-12Weekend

July 17-19 Weekend

July 24-26 Weekend

Championship Weekend

July 31 - August 3

What They Need:

• Bat
• Jock/Jill
• Helmet (cages are encouraged)
• Water Bottle
• Grey Baseball pants
• Cleats (recommended)
